Result or Re (in)sult?
Today (9th August), I recieved both of my results - BU, and AFK.
First let me tell you about BU. It was about 4 pm, when Gullay messaged me and asked about my result. I told her my net hours expired. She then asked me to call BU and ask them about my result. Therefore, I called them, and there was a lady who redirected my call to another person. Now, here's the convo:
He: Hello,
Me: Assalam-o-alaikum, Sir. I wanted to know about admission test results.
He: Yes, the results are outside BU on a notice board.
Me: And you people don't tell on the phone?
He: Ok. Which program?
Me: BBA, Sir.
He: Your number?
Me: Its 395.
He: (as if checking the list) Threeeeeeee.....niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiineee....fiiiiiiiiive
*silence*
He: What is your number?
Me: (annoyed) 3-9-5 SIR!
He: oh, yeah... Threeeeee...niiiiine....five! Umema?
Me: Yes, sir. Umema Amin Siddiqi.
He: Umema Min?
Me: No, Umema Amin. (now tell me - pass or fail?)
He: Yes, I was also thinking it must be Amin and not Min. Let me correct it.
Me: (correct it afterwards...first tell me have I passed or not?) *legs trembling*
He: Ummm, Umema. You have passed! You have an interview on 10th at 4 pm.
Me: (confirming) 10th? That is tomorrow?
He: Yes, tomorrow actually!
Me: Thankyou.. Allah Hafiz
He: Allah Hafiz
Alhamdolillah! Am glad... have cleared one obsticle now!
Now the Alliance Francaise de Karachi's (AFK) result!
At 5 pm, I called AFK.
Me: Assalam-o-alaikum. Wanted to know about N2-C's result.
She: Yes, it's here.
Me: Thanks.
So, at 6:!5 pm, I went to AFK to find the result. And here's what I saw on the list of N2 - C

And I think Monsieur Maqsood's name was not in the list. Well, I will go and check it again. Because he was the man (he's 50+) who tried to cheat in the exam. And he did cheat. And the teacher caught him cheating. And she cancelled one of his 20-marked answer. He didn't even appear in the speaking test. And I don't know why his name wasn't in the list.
I thank all my friends who prayed for my results, and who remembered when it was going to announce, and who reminded me am not that bad in studies. Keep praying for my interview, which is tomorrow.
